OUR STORY
About Us
Brad London has been on and around boats his whole life. His love for the water began early in life at the age of 15 when he became certified to scuba dive. He continued to pursue his love of the ocean while studying marine biology and oceanography at Palm Beach Atlantic University.
At age 25, he became a scuba instructor and began working on liveaboard sailing/dive boats from Miami to the Bahamas. During these years at Sea, he acquired his captain’s license and continued diving throughout the Bahamas, and down through the Virgin Islands. Upon returning from the Virgin Islands, he pursued his passion for boats and took a position building boats at Rybovich Spencer.
Brad was quickly promoted to supervisor of hull construction and began learning and guiding a crew under the direct supervision of Gary Hilliard. After eight years of learning and running an 8 man crew, he continued to stay with the company after a merge took place with Michael Rybovich and Sons. Brad has been doing marine carpentry and shipwright work on boats of all sizes for the past 24+ years.
In 2014, he decided to pursue his passion for boat restoration and custom marine carpentry, and he opened Total Refit LLC. Recently, Total Refit completed a 3-year restoration project of the famous Honey Fitz presidential yacht that was used previously used by several presidents including JFK. Total Refits’ mission is to provide excellence in custom yacht refits, rebuild, and repairs.
