About Us

With a lifetime devoted to the sea and more than two decades of elite craftsmanship, Brad London brings an unmatched depth of experience to the world of luxury yacht refits, restoration, and custom marine carpentry in Palm Beach and South Florida.

Brad’s connection to the water began early. At just 15 years old, he became a certified scuba diver, igniting a lifelong passion for the ocean that would guide both his education and career. He went on to study marine biology and oceanography at Palm Beach Atlantic University, combining academic knowledge with extensive hands-on experience in demanding marine environments.

By age 25, Brad had earned his credentials as a certified scuba instructor, working aboard liveaboard sailing and dive yachts throughout Miami, the Bahamas, and the Virgin Islands. During these years at sea, he obtained his U.S. Coast Guard Captain’s License and logged countless hours navigating, maintaining, and diving on vessels across the Caribbean—experience that continues to inform his meticulous approach to yacht restoration today.

Upon returning to South Florida, Brad transitioned into the world of custom yacht construction and marine carpentry, joining the prestigious Rybovich Spencer Shipyard in Palm Beach. There, his skill and leadership quickly set him apart. He was promoted to Supervisor of Hull Construction, leading and training an eight-man crew under the direct mentorship of master shipwright Gary Hilliard. Following the merger with Michael Rybovich & Sons, Brad continued with the company, refining his expertise in high-end yacht refits, structural repairs, and bespoke marine craftsmanship.

ABOUT US

After more than a decade working at one of the world’s most respected shipyards, Brad founded Total Refit LLC in 2014 to focus exclusively on luxury yacht restoration, custom refits, rebuilds, and marine carpentry services in Palm Beach and throughout South Florida. Today, with 24+ years of experience as a shipwright, Brad has worked on vessels ranging from classic wooden yachts to modern luxury motor yachts, always with an uncompromising commitment to precision and quality.

Among Total Refit’s most distinguished projects is the three-year restoration of the iconic Honey Fitz presidential yacht, famously used by several U.S. presidents, including John F. Kennedy. This historically significant restoration exemplifies the company’s dedication to authenticity, craftsmanship, and respect for maritime heritage.
